A stinker of a warm day. The Met Office forecast said it may wee be 26 degrees at midnight! Multi-pitch is what we did... or rather Andy and Llio did. It took them a long time (seemed like 3 hours for two pitches) so a lesson learned there perhaps. Matt and Tom turned up and we tried a new route. Discovered soething about my Anasazis. They go stupidly soft in warm weather and will not stick. With my weight the edges of the shoes distorted terribly and would not stay well on small edges at all. Holds I would have stuck on in cooler weather my shoes slowly oozed off. Tom's shoes in contrast remained hard and both Matt and I could see that they looked positive on the small edges. Makes me wonder about Ailefroide and the warm temperatures. Think I'll re-sole my old Helix's. Will cost 30 quid but they are comfortable and a little more supportive. Important on all-day climbs. Went to the Joiners afterwards...
