In a text message Llio asked, "Have you seen the weather? Do you really want to meet at 19:00?"

To which I replied,

"Yes".

We were to do a ropework practice session in anticipation of our trip to the Alps in two months time. When it's chucking it down seems as good a time as any for that! Otherwise you've gotta pray for perfect conditions when you have a mishap in the Alps.

Frank came too of course. Session went well. We did basic prussicking and locking off the belay device. Next session, more prussicking and escaping the belay.

Gary turned up late... he hadn't been able to find us.

Still... we went to the Joiners afterwards. Surprise!
