Another walk on South Gower. At least it was not so windy today.

Vallee Etroite (or Valle Stretta) is where we hope to start our walk.... depends on how much time there is available. It's possible to start further south.

Valle Stretta... looking north. The previous day it had been cold and stormy and it appeared as if Mont Thabor had had several inches of snow. I suppose the photo was taken about 9 in the morning when I was heading up to the col. I was desperately trying to see through the clouds to see whether the col was covered too.

It wasn't and, untypically for this region, the weather brightened up in the afternoon. I arrived down in Modane with a raging thirst and headed straight for the nearest bar and ordered two cold beers.
