This is a picture of a chap called Chris Beynon. He came with us (the SWMC) to three climbing evenings on Gower. Chris' body was found on Rhossili Beach a week or two after this photo was taken

The climb on Odin's Wall was probably Chris' second lead climb. His first lead climb was a new route on White Edge, lead on a previous Wednesday evening. Chris told me many times how he loved being in the mountains. Up until he went out with the SWMC his mountain experience had been scrambling on Skye, about which he was very enthusiastic. He was due to go up to Skye again with the SWMC.

It seems Chris died whilst on a lone fishing trip out on Worm's Head. Maybe he slipped. We don't know for sure.
