Well it was raining hard and any possibility of climbing outside was out! At least I'd be unlikely to find partners!

American John phoned up just as I was settling down to knock out some school reports. Packed my bags and went round to John's. He drove.

Its going up there in daylight... so much to see and it's clear that we miss so much going up there at night time! I think the fact that I'd never been up there in daylight says something rather healthy about my climbing habits!!

Anyway... We led about 10 routes each. Steve Tree and Stealth were there along with Jo Lush and friend.

On the way back, John introduced me to a pretty nice pub. The Red Lion which lies a coupke of miles off the way back near Hirwaun. Really nice beers... a selection of about 8 real ales and open fires... bloody good! Definitely on a par with the Joiners!
