I took Shane (almost a complete beginner) to Barland Quarry. Made him lead or attempt all the routes up to and including the 6c.

He did well, though towards the end we agreed that he'd lost his concentration. Shell shocked maybe. Shane fell of many times and to his credit pushed himself hard.
