We used to do this route as a "warm-up" those times we went to Ailefroide. The route is long but easy. It always used to be hot on the route as it gets the full afternoon sun and, because it was always the first route on our first day, we were always late getting up!

Six long abseils to get off. Was a scene of a minor epic on one occasion when two club members "got lost" and completed the lower two-thirds of the descent with headtorches! Apparently this provided entertainment for the campers far below in Ailefroide who were able to follow the progress of the lights down the face from the luxury of their tents!
