The cooler weather has made me think about the Summer of 2010 when I went for a walk in the Alps.

I still feel a little peeved about missing out on most of the food at quite the most luxurious refuge I have ever stayed in.

I noticed in the picture that it must have been been fairly cold. People have coats on. Usually at this place, (it's at nearly 6000 feet), it's very warm. The wind was blowing a gale and just a little way up the valley there was snow.

Whenever I'm hungry I think of the food I missed that evening. I'll have to go back.

I even turned down a glass of génépi!
