Didn't they realise that he was busy organising his security forces? Those same security forces who have been shooting those of his subjects who had dared to ask for reforms. They should have withdrawn their invitation and saved themselves the emabarrasment of a rejection.

Huh? Sultan of Brunei is not a Middle Eastern monarch! Get yer atlas out Daily Telegraph!
