Last Friday I drove up to Brecon and Hay on Wye. I stopped for a look at what used to be Glasbury Outdoor Centre. It's still an outdoor centre but it no longer belongs to Redbridge. The grounds look well-kept but there is now a pizza restaurant in the grounds! This phone box is now some sort of village 'book-swap' place. In 1976 it is from where I phoned home and learned of my 'O' level results. I remember being rather pleased and somewhat astonished. *NOTE ADDED* I was surprised that the phone box wasn't where I remembered it. 1976 was a long time ago and I thought I must be mistaken. Looked up some old Ordnance Survey maps and found that the phone used to a half-mile further up the road. Maybe it has been moved.
