Not my photo but we walked up here the day this photo was taken... that is, 29th December 2000. It was a bit of an impromptu trip... I had no equipment. I was wearing jeans and had no ice axe, poles or crampons. Actually crampons weren't really necessary. I even wore very basic boots. Mind you... I had a good waterproof, fleece and thermals - top and bottom. I got some nasty glares from the odd self-appointed 'Mountain Policeman'. Jeans? The Horror!
