Writing this on the the 17th. Last night (Tuesday) I went for a walk
west of Paviland. The aim was to photograph Rams Grove Crag. On the
way back I managed to upset a few choughs.
One of the choughs stayed back and shrieked at me for some time. I
managed to get a good look in the binoculars and zoomed-in shot with
my camera.
It's not a good picture. You can barely see the chough's colourful
beak and legs. It's nothing compared to how it looked through my
binoculars.
Choughs are pretty rare in the UK. See

- Choughs
There is a small cave on "the scramble" and the choughs nested there
one year. They were quite determined to defend their nest and
would dive bomb me if I came within 25 yards of it. That could be quite
unnerving when I was about 50 feet up above a vertical drop and
holding on with my fingertips!
