Longish walk today... in the heat! Took this from above Devil's Cwm. You can see part of the section of "path" between White Pillar and Yellow Buttress. Where the path is not visible (where it disappears behind the foreground), it skirts the edge of a 100 foot drop. It's not difficult to negotiate, but you need to keep your head. The ground's surface is composed of very small rounded stones which make it quite slippery.
There wasn't much of a tide today and there was very little wind. The water appeared to be crystal clear. It's odd that the most inviting fishing conditions are those where you are unlikely to catch anything.
