Gary and I had planned to go to Pembroke but the weather in the
morning looked very iffy and Gary didn't want to risk a long drive.
We decided to wait a few hours and go to Gower. But no. Gary rang up
and suggested Dinas Rock.
The main face was very clean. Someone has obviously spent money on
weedkiller.
Cleaned Main Face
We did some bolted routes further up the valley. Gary led a 5 and I
led a 6a. Both pretty straightforward routes.
It's a good place. Quite a few accessible routes, i.e. 6a,6b and
6c... Further back the crag gets desperate. Most of them seem to be
7's. One 8a too!
Spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the valley. Would make a
wonderful summer evening venue. Perhaps next summer's Wednesdays!
