Tom had told me that he was keen to go out this evening so I'd got a message out telling everyone to meet at 17:30 at Little Tor. Tom had his eye on a new route on Little Star Wall and since Tom is one of the few left to actually make the effort on these short evenings, Little Tor it was to be. Tom texted me during the day telling me that he was up to his neck in work and that he couldn't make it. In the end only Garry and I turned up. Garry said he was suffering from flu and the weather looked as if it was about to rain. We decided on East Ridge, Great Tor. Garry led it as he had neverclimbed it before and we bombed up it in no time at all. The 4c crux was a little problem for Garry. Weakened by flu, he fell off. He had another go and then another but finally got past. Topped out in the semi-darkness. Pity the weather wasn't good, the view from there is beautiful. Went to the Joiners. Long chat!
